PART-TIME AFTErschool TEACHER
About the position
NOPA Montessori is seeking to hire a part-time loving and caring educator to join our wonderful team. The after school teacher is a crucial part of fostering a loving, supportive, and calm community. Our staff is committed to children’s success, safety, and development as independent, joyous learners. We’re equally committed to nurturing our community of parents, students, staff, and teachers.
Job Responsibilities
Supervise children between the ages of 2.5 years old - 6 years old in the classroom and at a public park during our daily outings
Keep the environment in order: clean, supplied and in good repair
Collaborate and communicate with classroom staff and administration
At a minimum be available for part-time work Monday-Friday; 3:00pm-6:00pm. If more hours are desired, we’d be thrilled to hire for 20 hours a week for the following schedule:
Mondays - 3:00pm-6:00pm
Tuesdays - 2:00pm-6:00pm
Wednesdays - 1:00pm-6:00pm
Thursdays - 1:00pm-6:00pm
Fridays - 3:00pm-6:00pm
Qualifications
Classroom Experience with children ages 2.5 - 6 years old (1+ years preferred)
12 ECE Credits (Minimum of 6 units completed and enrolled in 6 additional units)
Love of children and families
Must complete post-offer, pre-employment physical, provide proof of required vaccinations and TB test
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Criminal and Background Clearance
CPR/First Aid Certification (or be willing to acquire)
Can sponsor a J1 only for candidates with a Bachelor’s Degree and Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) 3-6 Diploma

Full time Floater ASSISTANT Guide
About the position
NOPA Montessori is seeking to hire a full-time, committed and passionate educator to join our supportive team. The Floater Assistant Guide will work in collaboration with the Lead Guide and classroom team to prepare and maintain the classroom environment, including cleaning, arranging and stocking classroom materials. The Floater Assistant Guide is a crucial part of fostering a loving, supportive, and calm community!
Job Responsibilities
Supervise 24 children between the ages of 2.5 - 6 years old inside the classroom and during three daily park outings
Keep the environment in order: clean, supplied and in good repair
Collaborate and communicate with classroom staff and administration
Support the Lead Guide by observing children and keeping records of their progress
Support children during nap time
Be available for full time work shifts 9:15am-6:00pm Monday through Friday. (*an 11:00am start date is possible. 11:00-6:00pm)
Qualifications
12 ECE Credits (Minimum of 6 units completed and enrolled in 6 additional units)
Preschool Classroom Experience with children between the ages 2.5 - 6 years old (1+ years preferred)
Experience in a Montessori classroom is a plus!
Montessori Diploma a plus!
A warm and friendly personality with the ability to be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, including children and adults
Love of children and families
Must have oral and written proficiency in the English language
Must complete post-offer, pre-employment physical, provide proof of required vaccinations and TB test
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Criminal and Background Clearance

Job Responsibilities
Support the teaching staff to supervise children inside the classroom and during park outings
Keep the environment in order: clean, supplied and in good repair
Collaborate and communicate with classroom staff and administration
Support children during nap time
Support children with the toileting process
Be available substitute work shifts between 8:00am-6:00pm Monday through Friday
Qualifications
12 ECE Credits (Minimum of 6 units completed and enrolled in 6 additional units)
Classroom experience with children between the ages 18 months - 5 years years old (1+ years preferred)
Experience in a Montessori classroom is a plus!
A warm and friendly personality with the ability to be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, including children and adults
Love of children and families
Must complete post-offer, pre-employment physical, provide proof of required vaccinations and TB test
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Criminal and Background Clearance
Must be authorized to work in the US (We CANNOT sponsor visas at this time)
